12 Days Tibet Train Tours
The Qinghai-Tibet Railway is the highest railroad in the world. It stretches 1,956 kilometers from Xining to Lhasa, about 960 kilometers is located 4,000 meters above sea level and the highest point is 5,072 meters. Itinerary:
Day 1__Arrive in Beijing
Today we will arrive in Beijing, the ancient capital of China with over thousand years’ history. Receive warm welcome from your guide, then check in hotel to be adjusted to the time difference. Night in hotel.
Day 2 __BeijingCity Excursion (the Great Wall / Ming Tomb / Beijing Roast Duck)
The Great Wall will be our first destination, where we will climb on the ancient stone stage on feet. Then the mysterious mausoleum of ancient Chinese emperors will be an interesting adventure for us . In the evening we will have a delicious Chinese banquet with the well-known Beijing Roast Duck as welcome to China. Enjoy Beijing Opera in the old sty tea house in the evening.
Day 3 __BeijingCity Excursion (The Forbidden City / the SummerPalace)
In the morning we will visit the biggest palace of China, the Forbidden City, which is claimed to have 9999 rooms. There every relic will tell us the former glory of Chinese empire .In the afternoon we will walk around the Heaven Temple, then ride rickshaw to explore Hutong, the old street of Beijing.

Day 4__ Beijing / Lhasa
This morning we will fly to Lhasa, the capital city of Tibet, which stands at over 12,000 feet above sea level. You will immediately see that we are in a very unusual and special place. Head for hotel and enjoy the villages and Yalongzangbu en route. Free in the afternoon to be acclimated in the afternoon.
Day 5 Lhasa City Tour
As palace of Dalai Lama, the Potala palace worked as both political and religious centre in Tibet for long time, so naturally we will take it as our first tour. In the afternoon we will explore Grand Sera Monastery, which is the most important Buddhism base in Tibet. If you are lucky enough, you can catch the interesting sight of monks debating Buddhism scripture hotly. And we will also be guest in a local Tibetan family in the late afternoon
Day 6 Lhasa City Tours  
The wonders of Tibet continue to unfold for us today. We begin from the holiest temple in Tibet, the 1,300 year old Jokhang Temple. Then we will throng in Barkhor Street. It has played the role of international trade center for thousand of years. The handcraft from Tibet, Nepal and India can be found here. We will explore another huge monastery in the afternoon, Drepung Monastery, which used to host more than 10,000 monks in its maximum. Having a Tibetan style dinner in Yak Restaurant with Tibetan dancing show is an unforgettable experience in this holiday.
Day 7 Lhasa / Gyantse / Shygatse
Drive to Gyantse in the morning. We will enjoy the green belt like Yam Dok Lake at the Gangbala mountain pass (4300ms), then descend the mountain and drive through the wide grassland. Arrive in Gyantse in the afternoon. Palgor Chorten (Kumbu Monastery) is the most beautiful pagoda in Tibet. It is amazing to enjoy the harmonious picture of White Pogada, Yellow Mountain and blue sky. In the late afternoon we will continue to drive to Shygatse.
Day 8 Shygatse /Lhasa
The great Tashilunpo Monastery is the base of Panchen Lama traditionally. We will explore this magnificent palace in back Tibet and further your understanding of Tibet. And we will drive along the wide Yalung Zangpo River in the afternoon and arrive in Lhasa in the afternoon. Free to prepare for your leaving.
Day 9__Lhasa / Go’ermud Tibet Train Tour
In the morning we will board the train and head for Lanzhou. Enjoy the wide North Tibetan plateau and snow mountains in the first day’s riding. We will pass by Mountain Pass of Tangkula (5600m) and Kunlun (5200m) . Night in train.
Day 10__Go’ermud / Xi’an
Continue train riding today, enjoy the landscape of Gobi desert en route. Arrive in Xi’an in the Evening. Then transfer to hotel.
Day 11__Xi’an City Tour
Today we will begin our exploration of the most ancient Capital of China. Surely the Terracotta museum is the highlight of our Xi’an trip. It is an amazing experience to visit these 2000 years old warriors and horses. Back Xi’an in the afternoon, then we will make a short time’s hiking in the Old city Wall around Xi’an. Night in hotel.
Day 12__Xi’an Departure
In the morning we will visit the Wild Goose Pagoda, ancient Buddhism scripture were translated here. Then we will enjoy the calligraphy in the unique calligraphy forest museum. You can also drop a visit in the Muslim market. Fly to Beijing or other cities in the late afternoon. END . Season: March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November.
